THIS is how to do a wedding in Vegas. Tasteful, elegant, over the top awesome. Marisa and Chris treated their guests to a simply phenomenal experience, from culinary masterpieces to sensory delights, every single detail was incredible. But most importantly, Chris and Marisa's genuine love and connection made the weekend truly memorable. I can't even describe how great this all was with words, so here's a ridiculously long blog post to say it all. Vegas, baby.
My cousin Sarah is my favorite person in the whole world. She has been for the last 25 years, and probably will be for the rest of our days. When she called me last year and told me she was getting married, I simultaneously laughed and cried, because that's just what happens when the people you love the most share their joy with you. The wedding in Raleigh, NC later this year, and I will have the pleasure of being in this one, rather than shooting it. But we still planed a little engagement shoot around a visit, which meant that I got to eat some outrageous southern cooking, explore a very serious farmers market, and spend time with my cousin-in-law to be... (and took a couple photos along the way). We had so much fun just hanging out, laughing, cooking, playing with their dogs. It was a great trip, and I couldn't be happier for them. My dear Sarah, I love you always. xo
Kate & David's spring wedding had so many personal touches that really made the day memorable. From custom Nike running shoes for the bride, emblazoned with "I DO" and the wedding date, to a floral aisle with petals arranged into the shape of bar bells, every detail had a touch of something that this couple loves. Most importantly, they were surrounded by family and loved ones for what turned into a fun filled night of laughter and dancing. Congratulations Kate & David!
